Viccarbe. Mobiliario contemporáneo

Viccarbe is a company of Valencian origin, specialized in contemporary furniture. It was founded in 1999 by Víctor Carrasco Berlanga, a mechanical engineer and graduate in Industrial Design from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). He learned to create and design furniture following the values transmitted to him by his grandfather during childhood: utility and practical value, combined with a deep admiration for this industry.

Later, Daniel Benedito and Patricia Urquiola joined the project, in whose studio Viccarbe began to take its first steps in the industry. Urquiola became a key figure, and the release of the Last Minute stool marked a turning point for the company’s takeoff, now an authentic bestseller and a contemporary icon.

Recognition came hand in hand with the Prince Felipe Award, and in 2007, it was awarded for its business excellence due to its strong international growth and innovation.

From that moment on, new collaborations with great designers would be developed, fulfilling their personal dream by creating iconic, timeless, Mediterranean-style, comfortable, and affordable products; which were resistant for installations but at the same time friendly for homes.

Products

Viccarbe offers different types of furniture: chairs, stools, armchairs, sofas, benches, tables, side tables, and accessories. All of them with a contemporary touch that sets them apart from the competition.

This time we will show you some of their most iconic products.

Maarten tables

Designed by Victor Carrasco, the Maarten tables are minimalist design tables with great visual lightness, based on a simple leg technically resolved to not require a structure and be directly attached to its board. They can be used in a kitchen or in the office, adapting perfectly to each environment.

This innovative system allows countless uses, finishes, and formats: square tables, circular tables, from 80cm to 2 meters, with or without wings…

This bench, designed by John Pawson, is composed of solid oak legs and a subtle, smoothly upholstered seat that can be made from different fabrics and leathers.

It is ideal for home use in its short version and also suitable for waiting areas and office or facility corridors.

These chairs feature curved wooden board seats with a metal frame designed by Mario Ferrarini. The Quadra chair is suitable for projects that demand versatile, durable, and timeless chairs, such as educational institutions, conference rooms, restaurants, homes, or collaborative spaces.

Available in various finishes, it also offers a stackable version of up to 10 units and includes the option to add an upholstered cushion to the seat and backrest.

Designed by Ramos & Bassols, the Copa chair derives its name from its inspiration— the elegant shape of a crystal glass.

Upholstered with a wraparound backrest and a spacious seat, it provides great comfort. The generous dimensions of its seat bring comfort and warmth to collaborative workspaces, hotels, restaurants, and homes.

This chair is suitable for any environment, as it can be chosen from a wide range of bases and upholstery options. Ultimately, it’s a chair that brings comfort and well-being to offices, homes, and various spaces.
